The Gaming Arts VertX Duo is an upcoming Class II slot gaming machine that was presented at the Las Vegas Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Oct 2023. The top section of the cabinet was newly designed to seat two seamless 32-inch 4K monitors with sparkly back panel lighting to achieve the floating monitor look. I had complete ownership of this project and designed this cabinet based on concept renderings and requirements provided by the client. For this project, I oversaw design, fabrication, and assembly of the VertX Duo from initial concept to final build. I incorporated sheet metal design, laser cutting, 3D printing, and injection molded parts - such as the “collect and insert” bezels - to provide reliable solutions to customer issues with the previous iteration, the VertX Grand, which shares the same base.

Grover Gaming

I completed an analysis of the Grover Gaming Flame Belly Door and also conducted a time study integrating hardware into the Belly Door assembly. The first analysis of the Flame belly door involved scrubbing through the design on SolidWorks and identifying issues that might occur in production. These include issues like gaps, missing hardware, misaligned holes, sheet metal bends, issues with rivet assemblies, redundant holes, broken SolidWorks models, etc. I was also tasked with creating assembly instructions and conducting a time study for integrating the belly door.
